League Management Committee

Salam alaykum.

As the sport grows in popularity, some have posited that a formal set of guidelines should be set in place, in stone and birch: such guidelines reflecting not only the fundamental rules of Carrom but also on matters of courtesy, philosophy and general respect to Board customs and lore.

To that end, is there a case for forming a League Management Committee? That is, a body to act upon and resolve disputes, snidey behaviour and bribes.

Naysayers have expressed opposition to such centralisation of power, citing the ravages of Stalinism.Yaysayers have welcomed the idea, suggesting that a three person group of "blazers" could rule on Board matters both profound and trite - as long as those blazers are transparent.

If the idea of a LCM for the SCL proves amenable, I shall invite players to nominate themselves to be part of this committee. Note that such applicants must provide references and be willing to take a drugs test one hour before interview.
